The new Dodge Avenger is powered by a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The 2.0 turbo diesel engine produces 229lb ft of torque and delivers 45.6 mpg on the combined cycle. This engine uses a high-pressure direct injection system to precisely manage each combustion cycle for optimum fuel efficiency. The 2.0 manual or 2.4 automatic petrol engines meet the standards of quality and durability while providing fuel economy and dynamic performance with 16 valves, 4 cylinders and Variable Valve Timing (VVT).
