Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicle during extreme steering manoeuvres. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to understeer or oversteer and attempts to correct the vehicles course by automatic controlling the throttle and braking systems.
